Ashley Weiss is a certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and the owner of Heartfelt Earth Walks. Ashley leads her therapeutic nature experiences with great respect for all living things, she invites curiosity with her historical knowledge and plethora of nature fun facts. Ashley will plant seeds of awareness; she is especially keen on respectfully acknowledging indigenous lands with her well researched, insightful storytelling. Ashley is also Wilderness and Remote First Aide Certified.
A lover of nature and the outdoors, Ashley lent her talents and passion to four years of AmeriCorps youth conservation corps service in Florida; she had worked her way up from a trail crew member to a crew leader. Then going on to provided excellent leadership as a Community Connection Coordinator for the Let's Move Outside Initiative from 2015-17. Engaging over 20k youth in service projects in the outdoors. She was the youngest board members to serve on the board of Community Training Works, inc. connecting youth with professional development and self-sufficiency opportunities, and continues to be a regular volunteer in her community.
While traveling around the US has been an enjoyable experience for her, Ashley was drawn to relocate to Durango, CO in 2018 and has since made it her home. She has enjoyed many of the opportunities to work in nature there such as Tour Guide at Mesa Verde National Park, Eco-ranger, and a Naturalist. She enjoys hiking, mountain climbing, skiing, experimenting with vegan recipes, and spending time with loved ones. She continues to find ways to stay connected to her passions in youth development, environmental education, community organizing and engagement.
